Jimmy Johns Made Me Sick Today

Jimmy Johns made me sick today. This isnt the first time either. Today my sickness came about when my roommate who was throwing up with severe diarrhea tried to call in sick to Jimmy Johns. She knew that unless she could find someone to cover her shift, she was required to come in SICK. She asked if anyone was available to cover her shift. Her manager informed her that, 2 people had already called in sick, so NO ONE was available to cover her shift. SHE WENT INTO WORK SICK TODAY. I'm guessing tomorrow the cycle will repeat itself until everyone at that Jimmy Johns is sick and has built up the immunity to this strain of virus. I find it highly unethical for any business that engages in the food service industry to DENY sick people the option of staying home when sick. In a world where Influenza A H1N1 is spreading this kind of corporate policy is insanity, and puts thousands of customers at risk of illness. So the next time you're in the Jimmy Johns and someone making your sub looks ill (I've seen this more than once), think about how those employees arent allowed to call in sick. I pledge to NEVER eat a Jimmy Johns Sub EVER again, its just not worth the risk. It should be against the law to do this. I wonder when people will wake up to the threat of presenteeism
